Eastern Grey Kangaroo
The Eastern Grey Kangaroo looks much like its relative the red kangaroo, but
it is slightly smaller. Eastern grey kangaroos grow to a height of 2 meters
with an average weight of 135 lbs for males and 72 lbs for females. They have
a small head with large ears, and steely grey fur that is courser and curlier
than that of the western grey. Their tail is about 4 ft. in length and is
used primarily for balance while jumping fast and as a prop to sit on.
Eastern Grey Kangaroos are found in the grasslands and open woodlands of
Eastern and Southwestern Australia and Tasmania.
