Himalayan Pine Seal
The Himalayan Pine seal was found in 1941 by rock climber Anthony P. Williams,
he noticed small animals swimming in a small lake at the top of a Himalayan
mountain, when he got closer, he noticed the animal was a small seal with
large flippers. These seals like to live in moist Himalayan forest areas, they
like fresh water and some elevation. These seals look very different from
other seals, their front flippers are larger than they should be and their
heads are smaller than the heads of other seals. These animals do not do well
in captivity in fact, many of them die from lack of nutrition and the wrong
salinity of water. Most Seals prefer to have saltwater but these seals enjoy
fresh. This is a very rare and gorgeous seal, is your zoo good enough for one?
