Description: Scorpions have been around for millions of years. They are almost robotic-like when moving. Scorpions have a bad reputation mostly because of movies. The fear of scorpions is overrated. Scorpions are quiet creatures, only emerging at night to hunt. They are arachnids, the group that includes spiders etc. Scorpions have a long tail with a "stinger" at the end and a bulbous poison gland at the base. The pair of claws at the front of the body are used for catching and manipulating their prey. The most common scorpions are the emperor scorpion and the red clawed scorpion. The emperor is the largest of the scorpions and one of the easiest to handle thus making it the most common scorpion you can find.
