Vancouver Island Wolf
The Vancouver Island Wolf is a subspecies of the Gray Wolf, isolated from
others on Vancouver Island off the west coast of Canada. There are wolves at
the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve area which you are advised, in the park
literature, not to approach since they have been known to attack and kill
loose dogs. There are also Vancouver Island Wolves to be seen at the Greater
Vancouver Zoo. Their scientific name is Canis lupus crassodon.
