2018 APE Download

Was wondering where I could find a working version of APE. All of the links here aren't available anymore and was hoping to do some recolouring and minor editing of some animals. Thanks

It is best not to use any version of APE to do editing. To edit an animal's configuration, it is best to WordPad, as mentioned in the above post. The above post also mentions the Uca Editing Guide and Animal Configuration Checker, both of which are useful when editing an animal's configuration. For loading changed graphics, Zoot 1.1 is sometimes better than using any version of APE:

There are a number of guides for recoloring animals. Since I do not recolor animals, I cannot give advice of which is best. It probably depends on the type of recoloring being done. Here is one of the recoloring guides:
