Description: The Arizona jaguar (Panthera onca arizonensis) was the northernmost subspecies of jaguar. It was also one of the largest subspecies. Unlike the most familiar tropical jaguars of Central and South America, the Arizona jaguar lived in the dry highlands of the southwestern United States.

The last sightings of the Arizona jaguar were in 1905. The subspecies has been officially declared extinct.
