Description: Rhesus macaques (Macaca mulatta) are very adaptable primates and have a wide range in southern Asia. They have been reported in habitats ranging from sea level to elevations of 2500 meters, including snow, intense heat, near-desert, dense forests and cities.

They will eat a wide variety of foods, including fruit, vegetation, eggs, small animals, insects, crops and assorted human foodstuffs.

Highland rhesus macaques dwell in the countries of Nepal, China, India, and Pakistan.
