Description: The otter civet (Cynogale bennettii) resides in swampy wetlands and borders of streams and rivers in tropical southeast Asia and Indonesia. It is semi-aquatic and resembles a small sea otter. The civet otter is thought to ambush small mammals and birds when they come to the water to drink; it may also eat crustaceans, mollusks, fish and fruit.
