Supported browsers and changing skin themes

Welcome to the Zoo Tycoon Community Downloads Directory.

There are lots of different browsers and computer environments. It is known that this site using SMF 1.1.11 forum software works with the following, among others:
Internet Explorer 7 under MS Windows
Internet Explorer 8 under MS Windows (but see below)
Mozilla Firefox 3.6.2 under MS Windows
Mozilla Firefox 3.5.9 under Linux

By default, Internet Explorer 8 has a problem creating or editing long posts with this forum software. But it will work if you click Internet Explorer 8's "Compatibility View" icon that is to the right of the address box at the top of the browser.

Although the above browsers are known to work, some of the skin themes here will work better with certain browsers and computer environments than others. If you are having problems seeing things, try changing the skin theme you are using to "Classic YaBB SE Theme". In order to do this, click the "PROFILE" button near the top of this page, followed by clicking "Look and Layout Preferences". Then click "change" at the end of the "Current Theme:" line. Then click "Classic YaBB SE Theme". Most of the boards here will then use that theme for you. That theme is older and does not have some options seen in other themes. But that also allows it to work for some browsers where the other themes do not.
