Description: The mountain gorilla is the largest of the three gorilla species. Mountain Gorillas live high in the Virunga mountains at altitudes of 5,250 and 12,500 feet. Living so high in the mountains, they require longer and thus darker fur over their bodies to keep warm. Unlike the lowland gorillas, the mountain gorillas live in a heavily vegetated region, and do not have to compete with each other for food. This allows for troops to be slightly larger than those of the lowland gorillas. There are only between 370 and 440 mountain gorillas left in the world, making them the most endangered gorilla species in the world.
I noticed that the original gorillas in the game have a tannish look to the skin on their hands, face and chest. This is contrary to the actual animals that have a black face. This download is different from the original in a few ways. The hair color and skin color has been darkened. This animal uses a lot more vegetation in the exhibit (about twice the amount of the lowland gorilla), as well as needing a slightly more elevated exhibit.

Mountain Gorilla

The mountain subspecies of eastern gorilla has long, shaggy fur to retain
warmth at altitudes of up to 13,200 feet. Only the face, hands and feet (and
the males chest) lack hair. They are the largest of the three species of
gorillas (the others being the eastern and western lowland gorillas).
