Description: Also known as Temminck's cat, the Asiatic Golden Cat is found in Indochina, southern China and Sumatra. In Thailand it as known as sua fai, the Fire Tiger. It is 75-105 cm long with a tail of 49-56 cm and weighs 7-15kg. Golden Cats can be easily tamed.
The Golden Cat's fur is usually fox-red to gold-brown, but it can also be black, brown, or grey. One form which lives in China has ocelot-like rosettes and spots, some have thought this may be a different species but it is usually considered a subspecies.
