Description: Amazon river dolphin, also know botu (Inia geoffriensis)are a rare Plastinidae family member(also includes the Ganges indian dolphin).The color pink is the principal characteristic of this cetacean, botus don't are of Dolphinidae family, includes the dolphin. The eyes are weak and botu need the orientation of the nose and sonar. Amazon river dolphin eat fishs, turtles, and molluscs. This is the unique dolphin in Amazon river. In certain regions of Brazil, in folklore, botu are a mystical creature; in water, is in a form of a dolphin, and in night, goes to ground and transform in a man. This man are elegant and walks with a hat, to hide the dolphin nose(in head).Its is Indians folklore. The other subspecies of Amazon river dolphin is the white botu.
