Description: The pteranodon was one of the largest flying reptiles. It had a small light body and hollow bones so that it was light enough to fly. It had no feathers and had smooth skin stretched to form wings. It had excellent eye sight to spot food on the ground. The pteranodon had a toothless beak and a neck pouch like a pelican. It ate fruit and insects and would swoop down into the water to catch fish. These animals will provide interest to any zoo.
