Hi! This is probably the wrong spot to place this, but downloads from my site (Zoo Tycoon Hideout, which has been located here) are not listed - while there used to be a membership and post charge, they are now free to access without registration. There are only a handful of ZT1 downloads at this time (more may come in the future, as I'm thinking of dipping back in again) and many ZT2 downloads, some of which were originally hosted at Zoo Tycoon Volcano and were transferred with permission when it's focus shifted, as well as a few downloads from Kangorilaphant's old forum Zootopia.

If there is anything I need to or can do to get them listed, please let me know! Thank you!

hello JohnZTMaster - nice to hear from you. I'm a designer too so I can't answer your questions but hopefully others will.

I recognise your name from ZA and ZT Center.
I have not listed your ZT1 files as you only have four.
RSN packs are full of problems some of which crash games.
The And1 pack has some animals in it that will crash games if they are used. JohnT of Zoo Tycoon and More has permission to update and host And1's files and so does the Designer Guild.

As for ZT2 I have not caught up with ZT1 file posts and do not play ZT2. If you want to create posts for them I can move them to the correct area once I have checked the links. You can get an idea on post structure from the other posts.

hello JohnZTMaster - As Fern suggested, the best way to get your ZT2 items listed is to create your own posts like the ones she (and others) have created for other items. Then, once she has checked them, they will get put in the right place for you.

If it were me, I would also do posts for your own ZT1 items, but if there are issues with them (like RSNs, which were created before we knew how to avoid most of the pitfalls), there's not much point as everything that is listed here works without a hitch.

We used to have more ZT1 downloads and some had to be removed due to link problems - the Zoo Tycoon Uncrated website has many of the same files we used to host, though I'm unaware if their links are working. I am hoping to release more work in the future since I've been looking over a number of nearly-finished works that could use some testing and releasing. I thought we had at least two or three more public ZT1 downloads but as they're no longer there I assume they were cleaned out due to link issues.

I understand the unwillingness to include the RSN and And1 Packs and admire ZTCDD's dedication to checking through files to make sure they are safe. I can't imagine the amount of work it must take to go back and update them considering both packs contain such a high number of animals. I have added warnings for users to make note of before downloading.

As for ZT2, I would be happy to help as I can, as the community for the sequel game is becoming much more fragmented so it is harder for people to keep track of where to find certain downloads. I've seen a lot of the sites come and go so I usually have a basic idea where to find things. I'm afraid to make any concrete promises but in some spare time I'll try to put together some posts based on the format used here

You can do things at your own pace, we do.    Everyone here has real lives too and they should come first.
We do list problem files, along with warnings. RSN has problems with both animals and scenery and at one point I was going to update some......still might.
You could check with JohnT as to whether he will allow any updates of And1 to replace the ones in your file.
I probably have all the Uncrated files and they probably need updatings. Errors are game crashers, Warnings are inefficiencies. Some warnings are worse than others in that they affect whether you can get good suitability or not or whether the animal even likes itself.
I see you have made 3 animals Arabian Oryx, Giant Komodo Dragon, White Siberian Tiger. ZKL has Uca Editing Guide, Step-by-step instructions on UCA editing. I have copies if you want them as I see that ZA is currently unavailable. You can ask questions here.

A lot of the early files had problems before people learned how to do them. I can't fix them all as there are too many and people should be able to check if there is a known problem or conflict with a file. Do a search for "Error" or for "conflict" and you will see. Plus Jay an I have done warnings on buildings that cause problems like stuck guests or don't satisfy what they should. But that is listings. For downloads that are hosted here or at the Guild I do make sure they have no problems.
