Forum Rules

Welcome to the New Zoo Tycoon Community Downloads Directory. We hope you will find this site to be a resourceful resource for your gaming pleasure. We do however have some rules that need to be followed by all members and visiting guests.

You do not have to register with this forum to access the download links. You do have to register and validate your account with the email sent to the email address you registered with to be able to post in the postable topics on the forum.

1.) No profanity or censor bypassing

This forum is also accessible by young members who play Zoo Tycoon and do not need to be subjected to this on a family forum. Real life holds enough influence for this. You will be warned by PM 3 times. 3 strikes and you are banned from the forum.

2.) Show respect

For yourself and for members and visitors of this board. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. If you do not agree with those opinions, then agree to disagree and move on; do not argue about it.

3.) Double Posting

Is not permitted on these forums. Please use the modify button to edit your posts. It is located at the top of your post. Double Posting is where you make more than 1 post one right after the other within a few minutes of each other. Unless there is another member's post after yours, there should be a minimum of 1 hour between your posts if you are the only person posting.
Editing Your Posts There is a Modify button at the top of your post. You can change or add to your posts by clicking on the Modify button, making your changes and then pressing Save. Please edit your post rather than making another post to add another point, correct your statement, or to try to increase post count. Multiple Posting (Double Posting) may result in a warning being issued.

4.) Post Responsibly

If you are not adding value to the thread, then do not post. Posting "Cool" or other 1 word posts or posts that contain only smileys are considered Spam and will result in consequences.

5.) This site is not for others to log in just to advertise

If the staff believes someone created an account primarily to advertise, the staff may take any action they feel appropriate, up to and including deleting the account and banning the IP address, email address, ISP addresses, and user name.

6.) Please search before you ask

As with any forum, the members have other activities in their lives. So if you have a question, please try to see if it has been answered already before you ask it. Quite often, the SEARCH button might find the answer you seek. But no search system is perfect, so sometimes browsing through the appropriate sections of the forum will show you the answer. If you do not find the answer after you have done at least a little searching and browsing, then please feel free to ask.

7.) Forum Help Function

Located at the top left hand side of the forum beside the Home link, there is a Help function you can click on for assistance of many of the forum features.

8.) Helping Moderators

While we appreciate that some of you like to help us with the forum, there are a few things we ask of you.
- Do not make a post just to tell another member not to double post. We will decide what is an inappropriate double post and advise the person if necessary.
- Do not make a separate post just to inform another member that they are in the wrong forum. We read the forums every day and it is our job to notice these things.
- If a thread needs urgent attention, please PM an Administrator and we will attend to it as soon as possible. Do not take forum problems into your own hands.

It would be appreciated if you can help us by following these guidelines; posting what is right and what is wrong is the job of those who moderate this board. Otherwise this could unnecessarily clog up the forums.

9. No Flaming

What is flaming ?
Flaming is making a post to say something about another member or site that is not nice. Examples of this are saying the site is junk or this person does ugly work. These are just mild examples but this sort of thing is unacceptable. When posting where you want to say something about someone or another site, try to think of how you would like to be spoke about and post accordingly. This board will not support websites or site members that openly flame other Zoo Tycoon websites, their staff or their members. Any advertising or reference to those sites may be removed from the site at the staff's discretion.

10. Member Accounts

A member is to have only one (1) member account to be used only by that member.

If there are brothers and sisters who wish to visit and take part in the forums, they must have their own account.

Any member who makes a duplicate account to avoid a suspension or issued warnings will have the new account as well as any existing accounts permanently suspended and banned from using the forums. A permanent ban includes banning of the member's IP address, email address, ISP addresses, and user name.

11. Still Need Help?

If any of the above is unclear and you still have questions, you can visit the Questions forum to ask or check if your question has been addressed there, or at any time you can PM a Moderator/Administrator for assistance.
