Zookeeper's Lounge is back online. The newer server, which the web host provided, is using very recent versions of some software. Unfortunately, some of those newer versions are not completely compatible with the older versions. So we had to figure out where and how to change the forum software to work, which is now done, but took a while. We also used the backup of the database from August 31. So that means posts that were more recent than that were lost. But it will be close. Once again, thank you for your patience.

On March 23, the web host company used by Zookeeper's Lounge updated their web server software and database server software. Unfortunately, like what happened in 2010, it appears those newer versions are not completely compatible with the older versions. So it appears we have to figure out where and how to change the forum software to make it work with these newer versions. At this time, we do not know how long that will take. Most likely, it will take a long time, like it did in 2010. The database and downloads exist. But you will only get a blank screen if you go to Zookeeper's Lounge.

Zookeeper's Lounge is back online. Instead of figuring out where and how to change the forum software to make it work with the web host's updated software, we decided to switch to different forum software. Hopefully that will make it easier to deal with future web host updates. Since it is different forum software, it has a different look and works differently for some things. But the posts, downloads, login information, and personal messages are there. We also enabled registration for new members. Thank you for your patience.

So it appears we have to update the forum software to make it work with these newer versions. At this time, we do not know how long that will take. It might take a long time, like it did previously. The database and downloads exist. But you will only get a "General Error" screen if you go to Zookeeper's Lounge. It will be announced here when Zookeeper's Lounge is working again.

The forum software at Zookeeper's Lounge (ZKL) has been updated and the ZKL forum is now working again. Except for some options moving to menus, ZKL looks as it did in July. While the forum was not working, a number of the older downloads were updated, but those updates have not been uploaded yet. New posts will be created at ZKL when those updates are uploaded. Thank you for your patience.
