Sumatran Rhinoceros

The Sumatran rhinoceros (Dicerorhinus sumatrensis), is also known as the hairy
rhinoceros or the Asian two-horned rhinoceros. It is the only two horned
rhinoceros in Asia and the only one with hair, which takes the form of a
reddish brown coat. The Sumatran rhino is the smallest of the five living
species of rhinoceros (Black, White, Indian, Javan and Sumatran). Its
scientific name comes from the Greek di, meaning"two" and cero, meaning "horn"
and rhinus, meaning "nose" and sumatrensis, referring to Sumatra (with the
Latin -ensis, meaning locality).
