Prairie Dog

WhiteTailed Prairie Dogs (Cynomys leucurus) are found in the western United
States, including Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and Montana. White-tailed prairie
dogs have a total length of 13 - 14.5 inches, with a short tail . The upper
body is yellowish to tan and may be streaked with black . There is a spot
above the eye and on the cheek of blackish-brown. The tail hairs are white,
proximally some have bands of black and pale red.
