Description: These gates allow having working gates for guests and animals. Although ZT came with exhibit gates, they did not give any decorative gates. There are lots of potential uses for decorative gates. For example, maybe one wants to have a fenced in area, maybe with picnic tables or with a garden, and have a decorative gate that opens as guests enter or leave that area. The attached Decorative Portal Gate and Decorative Reinforced Concrete And Glass Gate are decorative gates. Unfortunately, ZT does not allow gates to be purchased from the Fences purchase menu. So I put the gates in the Scenery purchase menu instead. Their prices are 225, just like the in-game Reinforced Concrete And Glass Fence. There are 2 versions of each of these gates in the purchase menu. One version will open and close as it is being used. The other version is always open. The screenshot is inspired by an actual exhibit at the Auckland Zoo in New Zealand. The exhibit there contains a couple types of wallabies, a type of kangaroo, and a type of peafowl. The guests are in the exhibit with those animals. There is a path that curves through the exhibit that the guests are supposed to stay on. But the animals can cross the path. To enter and leave the exhibit, there is a pair of doors at each end of the path. For each pair of doors, only 1 door can open at a time, in order to prevent the animals from getting through both doors. In the screenshot, I am only using 2 types of wallabies, 1 type on each side of the path. Although it looks like the path is in the exhibit, it is actually between 2 exhibits, using the half white curbs as part of the exhibit fences. So the animals cannot actually cross the path. Since I cannot control when the doors open, it is possible for both doors in a pair of doors to be open at once. The screenshot shows other uses for the decorative gates as well. There is a gate in front of a shelter, although that cannot be seen well because it is behind the trees. There is a gate in front of the cafe and a portal on the path to the cafe. These gates will open as animals or guests go through them. As guests enter the cafe, the gate opens and then closes when the guest is in the building. When the guest comes out of the building, the gate opens and closes again. Similarly, when an animal enters the shelter, its gate opens and then closes when the animal is in the shelter. When the animal comes out of the shelter, its gate opens and closes again. The screenshot shows the cafe portal is open because of the guest going through it. It also shows 1 of the gates open near the front of the exhibit as the guests look like they are entering "the exhibit". A part of the exhibit has 4 rows of decorative gates, just for fun. The animals can go through those gates to get to another part of the exhibit. For the versions of the gates that will open and close, they will open and close as the animals go through them. ZT has unusual behavior concerning these decorative gates. The animals can go through any of the types. But guests can only go through the ones that can open and close. Guests cannot go through the ones that are always open. Staff generally cannot go through any of the types when they are outside the exhibit, but staff can go through them when they are inside an exhibit, or maybe only when there is no other choice. The reason there is both a type that opens and closes and a type that is always open is to get around a problem with ZT. If a fence piece of an exhibit is replaced with the decorative gate, ZT needed to find a fence piece and not a gate piece. If ZT did not find a fence piece, it crashed. So those always open versions are actually configured as decorative fence pieces rather than decorative gate pieces, which is why the guests cannot go through the always open types. For these decorative gates, I used copies of in-game graphics. But I can envision gates being created from graphics that look like sliding doors for buildings or look like elevator doors, and being placed against buildings.
