		Africa, the Dark Continent, Exhibit Date Added: February 14, 2011 Size: 216 kb Description: Guests at the Africa, the Dark Continent, exhibit will be thrilled to discover the vast array of plant and animal life there.  Native Masi, Kikuyu, and Zulu guides will assist guests as they explore the regions from the rainforest of West Africa's Congo River valley to the wide plains and stunning water vistas of East Africa.  Guests will meet the diverse residents that share habitats from the northern Sahara desert and Nile valley, all the way to the coastal shores of South Africa.  In addition to the well known inhabitants, like the African Elephant, guests will enjoy up-close encounters with the Savannah Monitor, Africa's largest lizard species, the Common Dwarf Mongoose, Crowned Cranes, and Turacos.  Africa is home to thousands of plant species as well, and guests can view films and enjoy "5 senses" exhibits to learn about some of the plants, such as the Impala Lily, Felt Bush, Bird of Paradise plants, and the small, cactus-like Hoodia plant. 		Antarctic Discovery Center Date Released: September 1, 2020 File Size: 335 KB Description: As guests enter this exhibit they will experience a white out, visit a recreation of the original Scott Base, see penguins and a penguin nursery, and learn about animals, plants, and current research at Antarctica and in its surrounding waters. 		Australian Walkabout Exhibit Date Released: February 14, 2011 File Size: 169 kb Description: Come on "down under" to explore Australia!  Guests will love the hands-on, meet & greet with young koalas and kangaroos, and other animals.  Aboriginal guides will explain the importance of Sacred Geometry while they create examples.  Guests can join in as the guides sing Songlines to protect native plants and wildlife.  The guests will also learn about the unique bond between Aborigines and the land.  Kids will enjoy learning to make music with a didgeridoo and the proper way to throw a boomerang.  The 3-D IMAX experience, Great Barrier Reef, takes visitors on an up-close exploration of Australia's creatures of the deep.
