Cape Mountain Zebra

The mountain zebra is a rare subspecies of the plains zebra it live remotely
on Mount Kilimanjaro and other rocky areas around deserts. They give birth in
the eary spring and the foals mature slowly spending a year with thier mother.
Thier herds consist of 10 - 20 animals but in zoos usaualy they are in groups
of 5. all herds are run by one male and the rest are female. All young males
are run out of the herd at 2 years old. Zebras require the presence of a
dependable water source such as a waterhole, since these animals need to drink
fairly often.
