European Lynx

The European Lynx is a supspecies of the Eurasian lynx and was once found
throughout whole Europe except in Spain and Portugal where the Iberian lynx
lives. In the last century the Lynx was nearly exterminated in most parts of
middle Europe but in the last years it was successfuly reintroduced in parts
of France, Germany and Austria. Because of the fact that it hunts ill and weak
roe deers, hares and birds the lynx helps to keep the wild populations
healthy.
