Description:  One of the smallest crocodilians, the West African Dwarf Crocodile (Osteolaemus tetraspis) is increasingly endangered in its rainforest habitat. It has a rather short body and a blunt snout, giving it its alternative name of Broad Fronted Crocodile. It is mainly nocturnal in the wild, feeding on fish, invertebrates and amphibians.

West African Dwarf Crocodile

One of the smallest crocodilians, the West African Dwarf Crocodile
(Osteolaemus tetraspis) is increasingly endangered in its rainforest habitat.
It has a rather short body and a blunt snout, giving it its alternative name
of Broad Fronted Crocodile. It is mainly nocturnal in the wild, feeding on
