Description: It is a stat change of the African Elephant, because they look like African Elephants, just live in a more desert environment. A recently described form of elephant, the desert elephant is considered by most to be a variation of the common savannah elephant (Loxodonta africana africana). It is found throughout Namibia, where it shares its habitat with the desert black rhinoceros and the gemsbok. Desert elephants are smaller than their cousins from the savannahs, and have a higher tolerance to a lack of water due to their arid habitat. Further research on the very rare desert elephants may prove them to be distinct subspecies from the savannah elephant, or even a new species altogether.
