Description : This is an Atlas Bear from the Atlas mountains of North Africa, like the Atlas cedars, Barbary jackal and lion, and the cedar logs. It likes to have a toy and is satisfied with the lion rocks, although it lacks animations to use them yet. It has the full range of bear animations and seems to work well. The colour appears about right for an Atlas Bear, although sadly they are extinct so it is difficult to tell...

Atlas Bear

The Atlas Bear was a subspecies of the Brown Bear, but sometimes considered a
distinct species. For this reason, its scientific name may be given as Ursus
arctos crowtheri, Ursus being bear, arctos, being the species name for the
brown bear, and crowtheri the subspecies name; or else Ursus crowtheri,
showing that the writer considers the Atlas bear to be a species.
