Description: Two years ago Ratbag Oz started on a ZTUF Dingo, taking all 1000+ images out of the gray wolf and manually recolouring them. At that time, a very rough first go was shared with staff... Trouble is, editing animals that way is a BIG task and so it remains very unfinished.

When I started on the wolves, RB reminded me of this project, and was kind enough to send me a copy. DrR had a flash of inspiration - each set of painted dingo images that had been put back into the wolf using APE makes a palette file (e.g. ne.pal). There were about 10 or 12 of these. DrR took each of these palette files in turn, renamed it graywolf.pal and put it into an unzipped gray wolf. Most of them didn't work, causing some of the pale parts of the resulting animal to be black.

One of the palette files worked perfectly, giving animations that are almost exactly the colour that RB intended, although RB would still like to complete the painted version since it is not perfect! DrR made up the animal properly and RB has agreed that we should release it along with my wolf pack.

This Dingo is entirely compatible with both of the DrRDingos. It has the latest DrR configuration, with trot, jump high and various other animations in full use. It also has a completely re-worked set of sound files to make them more obviously one animal (in case anyone ever keeps just one of them).

So here is the ZTUF Dingo (in an interim version), with design, colour and information by Ratbag Oz and configuration by Dr Rick.

I wish all Peace, Love, Good Health, and Laughter

Dingo

The dingo ranges in size from 9.5kg - 19.5kg depending on the area, the
season, and interbreeding with domestic dogs which is extremely common. The
colour of the true dingo is almost always a ginger, through to sandy-brown
colour, though natural blacks do occur and some even have patchy markings,
reminiscent of the African wild dog. The ears are held erect, the tail is
bushy with a scent gland at the base, and the teeth are larger and more
slender than a domestic dog's.
