Description: Guests will be fascinated watching a figure made for them using an injection molding process. When the machine is activated, 2 halves of a mold are clamped together while the temperature increases to heat an amount of plastic pellets to turn them into a liquid. When hot enough, the liquid is pushed into the 2 halves of the mold to fill it. The temperature then returns to normal. Then the 2 halves separate to reveal the plastic figure, which is pushed into an opening so that the figure can be taken.

Scenario maps freeform mode

Description: This allows the maps for Zoo Tycoon's scenarios to be used in freeform mode. In CC and in MM with all official downloads, this will add 45 entries to ZT's Freeform selection screen. It will be fewer entries in the original ZT and DD. The names for these freeform entries are the same names as for the scenarios so it is obvious which maps they are. But these freeform maps will work the same as most other freeform maps instead of working like the scenarios.

To see the generic description for these freeform maps in ZT's Freeform selection screen, LANG--ZTCDD.dll dated October 13, 2021 or newer is needed.

If you set up your ZT to recognize a "hacks" folder, then put scn-freeformmaps.ztd in that "hacks" folder. Otherwise if your main ZT folder already has a "dlupdate" folder, put scn-freeformmaps.ztd in that "dlupdate" folder. Otherwise put scn-freeformmaps.ztd in ZT's "Updates" folder.

NOTE: If you save a zoo based on one of these freeform maps, you will have to have the file scn-freeformmaps.ztd in one of Zoo Tycoon's folders when you load that saved zoo in the future. Because of this, it is recommended to keep scn-freeformmaps.ztd in a "hacks" folder, even though this is not a hack. Outstanding Animal Health Plaque and Tyrannosaurus rex Birth award updates

Description: When Blue Fang created DD, they created several awards for freeform games. Two of these awards did not work. The awards are "Outstanding Animal Health Plaque" and "Tyrannosaurus rex Birth - Gold Rex". They did not work in CC either. Jay created similar awards that work. These are not hacks, but they use the same award numbers and messages that were intended for the Blue Fang awards. AwardForFewSickAnimalsAtYear1EndByJay.ztd will give the "Outstanding Animal Health Plaque" award if there are less than 3 sick animals on January 1 of Year 2. Like Blue Fang intended, that award does not give any money. AwardForTyrannosaurusRexMaleAndFemaleAndEggByJay.ztd will give the "Tyrannosaurus rex Birth - Gold Rex" award when there is an adult male T. Rex, adult female T. Rex, and T. Rex egg in the zoo at the same time. This award only occurs once. When the award occurs, the zoo gets a cash bonus of 100,000. Like most awards, these awards do not occur for scenarios or for the "Marine Mania: Kids Map (Medium)" freeform map.

Although these are not hacks, if you want these awards to be available most of the time for freeform maps and if you set up your ZT to recognize a "hacks" folder, then put these ".ztd" files in that "hacks" folder. Otherwise if your main ZT folder already has a "dlupdate" folder, put these ".ztd" files in that "dlupdate" folder. Otherwise put these ".ztd" files in ZT's "Updates" folder.

Jungle River and Lake Resort map updates

Description: When Blue Fang created ZT, they created the "Jungle River (Medium)" freeform map with a zoo wall on the map edge. When Blue Fang created MM, they created the "Marine Mania: Lake Resort (Large)" freeform map with a zoo wall on the map edge. These two maps have two problems. If someone tries to edit one of these maps by deleting a zoo wall on the map edge, the ZT expansion packs crash. This problem did not occur in the original ZT. Also, these zoo walls allow people to put exhibit fences against those zoo walls, which will eventually cause a crash when the fences deteriorate and maintenance workers attempt to figure out how to reach those fences. These two freeform zoo maps were updated by Jay to avoid these two problems. Other than to avoid these two problems, the two zoo maps were not updated for anything else. Thanks to Casey for originally discovering the crash problem with zoo walls on map edges and for finding which of ZT's zoo maps have this problem.

To install the Jungle River map update, go into ZT's "maps" folder, rename jungriv.zoo to jungriv-original.zoo, extract jungriv.zoo from jungrivByJay.zip, and put that jungriv.zoo into ZT's "maps" folder.

To install the Lake Resort map update, go into ZT's "maps" folder, rename lg_resrt.zoo to lg_resrt-original.zoo, extract lg_resrt.zoo from lg_resrtByJay.zip, and put that lg_resrt.zoo into ZT's "maps" folder.

Description: Here are purchase menu icon backgrounds for various habitats and themes. The icons in the main folder are 45x32 with the first pixel of each row being the pixel to represent transparency, so that they can be used in Zoot and appear in ZT as 44x32. You would use a graphics program to add an image of your animal or object to the background and reduce the number of colors to 256, then use Zoot to load the icon and position the icon. The "00.coordinates in zoot.png" image shows what numbers to use in Zoot to adjust the position of the icon. The icons in the "44x32 full color" folder are the same icons, but without the pixels representing transparency. Zoot cannot handle those directly, but they might be useful for other tools or other purposes.
